Today’s Ask PHlemmy: What’s not as good as it used to be?
Life
I’d argue (just for kicks) that life as always been as bad as it has always been. But death, that has gone a lot worse, lol!
Magastos mabuhay, mas magastos mamatay (unless you’re skipping all the formalities of a wake, funeral, cremation or burial, in which case, yeah, it’s still free).
And then we have all these choices for death now, you can still die from the classic plague, but there’s new ones as well! You can also die from overwork, loneliness, all the flavors of cancer you can ever imagine, being ground into mincemeat…
Wait, I am arguing that death has become worse, right? HAHAHAHA!
Nah, death is more peaceful than what we live through right now. Instantaneous death would be a better choice.

Jollibee yum burger, used to love it so much but as you get older you realize there are better burgers out there.
I hate shark week. Most of the time I don’t get much PMS symptoms but I’ve been miserable for a week now. I already ate my chocolate stash and I’m wondering if I should get more.
Also, this rain has been awful to my plants. They’re getting mold/mildew because there hasn’t been enough sunlight. Trying the baking soda spray hack and hoping for some sunlight soon.

Can the months just pass by, can time just quickly go by so that I won’t have to live my life looking for my own purpose. It’s tiring. I want to take my time off everything, work, interactions with the majority of people. Can I just have some time to settle my brain down since it can’t take it, at least not in a healthy manner. Outside I may look okay, maybe a bit (or more than a bit) odd. Is this what adulthood is all about? Is this all that life has to offer? Because this is not what I imagined it would be at this point in time. It’s exhausting to “human”.
Okay lang ba na T-shirt lang suot sa video interview? Last time kasi nag polo ako pero ung naginterview sa akin naka pangbahay lang.
Collared shirt pa din po. Better if polo or polo shirt. At least, kahit nakapambahay yung interviewer, it shows your eagerness for the interview po and also to show that you’re taking the interview seriously. :)
Eh, the bare minimum for an interview (kahit video call lang) is a collared shirt. Polo shirt to be precise. Casual but still a bit formal.

Nakapagpa-anti rabies na pala ko dahil sa kagat ni big bad baby boy ko. Parang naiba yung instructions ngayon. Ang full dose daw ay effective for 3 years; kapag nakagat ka uli within that period, booster na lang ang kailangan. Parang 2 yrs lang ang tanda kong sinabi dati kaya tinapon ko na yung card, mabuti may picture pa ko sa phone.
Kahit baha na kung san saan, dahu itong former artistang nagkwentong Batibot tungkol sa yamang ginto ng bansa at lowkey nagpromote ng mining?
Rest day went like this: errands, pool workout, more errands, friend meetup, timezone na pwede na maging workout. It was a busy day, and yet parang may natitira pa rin akong energy. That’s crazy.
My pool workout is going swimmingly 🥽 I can now hold my breath for a minute and a half, and do a 25m breast stroke w/o breathing. Imagine if I can accomplish that on an olympic size pool 🤩 hindi na ako hihinga lol.
Tapos nung nag timezone ako I played hit the clown 10 times and I really went intense mode on it tumaas pa yung heart rate ko, pinagpawisan and now I got sore arms 😆
May bola nga na lumabas sa cage tapos di ko pinansin (timer still ongoing) yung bata pa nagbalik sakin. Sorry kid ate is focused and busy right now but thanks! I felt possessed by that game. Mukhang gigil talaga ako dun sa clown. You know I’m taking it seriously once I put down my bag. Kung may kasama ako for sure sila na may hawak nung bag ko lol. Hay nako self.
I also shot down some zombies. Unfortunately, I’m not a very good (head)shot, siguro 30%~ lang accuracy ko, sayang ang bala kung irl lol. Tsaka medyo nabibigatan ako dun sa baril nila, I can’t play too long. We’re gonna have to work on that 🤔
Overall, day well spent. I was supposed to go skating kaso alanganin na yung oras, di ko masusulit. Maybe next week.
Possible surge-pricing in jeepney fares. Hayy… Oil companies are swimming in billions and billions of profit and instead of trying to shave that down, they’d rather make the poor even poorer
How is surge going to work with jeepneys anyway? I guess the price changes from 6am-10am or something?
May set time na tataas ang presyo sa jeep (and buses too!) ng 1-2 pesos.
Etong ginagawa na to, mapupunta lang sa bulsa ng mga oil companies ang pinaghirapang pera ng mga ordinaryong tao. hayy
