Honestly even if Daft Punk got back together to make another Tron soundtrack, Jared Leto would still be enough reason for me to stay away from this movie.

EDIT: Don’t get me wrong, I’d still pick up the soundtrack

I don’t buy music anymore, but I’d buy that soundtrack just because

The story will reportedly focus on the emergence of Ares, a sentient program that crosses over into the human world that is not ready for contact.

This killed my interest. Setting a Tron film in the real world misses the whole point and appeal of the series.

Legacy kind of ended with that idea in mind. Exploring the impact of Olivia Wilde’s character outside the program, etc. It’s digital jazz man, c’mon.

This is a fair point, and if this were continuing that story I’d be down for a wide-eyed Quorra awkwardly navigating real life because that’s where her story was going. But Ares doesn’t have any returning characters so it won’t have that jumping off point, and I can’t imagine Jared Leto having half the charisma of Olivia Wilde to carry that role.
