I’ve never worked in Florida, but I have worked in hot shops with industrial dryers in the dead of summer—a simple recipe for disgruntling even the most staunch Conservative. It’s all “libz and patriats” until you’re working in a literal sweat shop.
I’m sure this is meant to target immigrants (because cruelty is always the point), but it’s going to affect lots of other people, too. If Florida Dems are smart, they’ll use this fuckery to their advantage. They might be far from perfect, but at least they don’t deny that climate change is real.
Small government and freedom, right?
Greg pissbaby abbot did the same shit in Texas a while back if I’m not mistaken. These measures will only hurt the industry.
It’s a “right to work” state anyway but, I feel for all workers that have to work in these conditions. The NLRB needs better teeth to combat these things in court and more.
Hopefully all those “NLRB enforcement is unconstitutional” lawsuits fail then.
Inshallah
I don’t think he has any say in the matter, but fingers crossed for y’all anyway.
GCC states get demonized for the treatment of migrant workers and a lot of it is justified. But at least all of them are moving to have heat protection laws in place!
