I’ve checked libgen, sci-hub, IRC… I’m not on any private book torrent trackers, but I assume they won’t be there either. $80 is a bit too rich for me to pay for access through Guilford Press, although if I did that I’d download them all (last two years they make available) and then upload them somewhere.

Frankly, it angers me I can’t read the articles, cause a lot of them sound good and interesting.

Every issue has a few articles I want to read. There was one in particular in the latest issue, I emailed the author and asked for it. I know that is an option, but I’d also like to have complete issues. For ease and for the sake of principle.

When Guilford Press sells access they include issues from the past two years, I don’t understand why Science & Society doesn’t make issues older than two years free.

I received a response from the author of an article after I asked for a copy.

I am afraid that copyright restrictions do not allow me to do this. I do urge you to subscribe to S&S when you are able to do so.

That’s not quite true. Could you email the author from a school email address and/or say it’s for your studies?

I think that refers to people who have already “bought” a subscription through their institution. A professor with legal access can print out an article for students. I don’t think it allows the authors to send it to any student on the planet.
