    While I generally like more privacy (everyone except corpo minds do), sadly we all know it’s done solely just so Musk and his right-wing friends can finally hide their browsing behaviors (of course while corporations and governments can look at yours).

    No one in the Mac rumors post comments seems to understand that likes were public because… that way you could see friends liking things. And you could see who liked your post.

    Likes were public because it’s a mostly public social network.

    Likes were public because they were for others to see, originally. They were not for algorithmic signaling. They were not just actions one could take “for the algorithm.” “I need to tell the robot I like this,” Was not how people used them.

    It was like that in 2007.

    They cite it’s for edgy content? Weird.

    I guess being a nazi is just edgy. And they want to freely get better nazi data for their algorithm.
