While watching this Barred owl she was preening herself and pulled this feather out for some reason… Maybe it was loose and just came out on its own.? She held onto it for a short while before letting it go to float down to the forest floor.

She obviously just needed a feather for her quill and was pondering what to write.

My original title was going to be “Ready for the big contract signing” but I changed it at the last minute.
I was focused on the feather the other day when I put this in my drafts, but today I noticed the big gap where the feather was.
