As someone who had parents who automatically assumed malicious intent whenever they got mad at me over literally anything, even before I hit damn double digits, this hits.
I have a theory that parents like that would do the same thing to allistic children in a slightly different way, and just kinda hit the jackpot with having an autistic child they can take their anger out on forever and no allistic will blame them because they also think we deserve it for being “weird”
I’m not sure if I’m ND but people’s reaction is baffling sometimes. Whenever I give tech advice to someone they occasionally would get mad at me and say shit like “I already tried that! Do you think I’m stupid?”. Like, no, I do not think you’re stupid. I’m just trying to help
you have internality and they are trying to anticipate that. both autistic and allistic people do this.

If it’s not a friend, allistic people often are looking for something else beyond conversing and wet also understand this so are defensive when someone is straightforward because what’s the angle
