This wasn’t canon to begin with? It seemed pretty obvious from the start the concept for Excalibur was ripped straight from dark sector
The lore seemed conflicting until now so at best we had “references” and “inspiration” as you said. In the new Warframe 1999 light however, it seems like it could just outright be… true, and this glaive did actually exist before the orokin empire.
Which also confirm that Orokin(s) were humans, and probably that history before the 1990 is the same as real world
There’s an Excalibur skin (maybe nyx too) that is also a nod to Dark Sector
