Growing up I had a super religious friend who was only allowed to see PG rated movies and when this movie came out we were 12 or so and he asked me if I wanted to go see it in the theater. I liked Wayne’s World so I thought it might be funny and I agreed. We sat through the whole thing and when the credits started rolling he turned to me and apologized for suggesting it - I hadn’t even said anything yet.
