That’s a good result. No blaring alarm. Now when you wake up 1hr before the alarm and can’t get back to sleep: yes that hurts.

More than 30 mins is good because I know I can sleep again or at least stay resting and cosy, less than 10 is good because I know I can keep my mind awake enough to get up feeling naturally well rested.

Fuck that sweet spot in the middle.

I get hyped when this happens.

My body has mastered time. I am above these mortal tools.

But if it plays before I can turn it off it scares me :(

It’s like a jack in the box effect because you know it’s coming but your soul still leaves your body when it goes off lol

Meeeee, specially since my alarm puts my spotify Playlist so it’s takes another step from my list of things to in the morning :3

I don’t understand why you’re rolling your eyes in the title. Are you annoyed by your own post?

Anyway, I always prefer to wake up naturally as opposed by an alarm. Best case scenario to wake up by myself and on-time.

If you consider the human brain works in 90 min chunks for most things including sleeping, that is completely within spec. For another chunk of sleep, you need to go to bed 60-80 min earlier.

Yeah but it didn’t the rest of the day because being rested and not being woken up from an alarm is better than the alternative. 1 minute before is perfect. It’s the 30 minutes that kills me

I did this today. Beats the shit out 2.5 hours before it goes off, and nicer than hitting snooze every 5 minutes for half an hour.

I love 2.5 hours before it goes off. I tend to wake up dead to the world be it 5:30am or 7am. At least at 5:30 I can indulge my want to go back to sleep…

I feel like I have a superpower when that happens. Even if I still feel like shit and would obviously rather go back to sleep, it still feels better to wake up naturally than get woken up by the alarm.

There’s a feeling of panic that sets in when you really don’t want to hear the alarm and realize you had better rush to disable it before that last minute counts up.

One of my top 5 personal rules is that I never look at what time it is if the amount of sleep I’m getting is part of the equation. I set my alarm for whatever time I must be awake, and otherwise, I wanna be left alone. Ignorance is bliss.

About to get up because I’ve been rolling in the bed for half an hour… Checks clock, only 1 minute left… “Oh no, why, I’m so tired.”

Implying I set an alarm. Implying every moment awake isn’t pain. Get on my level of existential misery and dread

/S I’m actually in a pretty good place mentally.
