Lest you think the cop had some reason for this, here’s what happened:
“I click the video and I see a cop put a little like slip lead over the neck and then drag her around,” Rindfield said. “Then, without any warning, just pinned her down and shot her.”
ACAB
These two are different. The officer was attacked by the dog. That’s why he shot the dog.
The deer they appear to be claiming because it was domestic.
I get the domestic debate but I don’t agree with it. I’m not sure that’s the real reason but that is a standard policy to kill domesticated wild animals.
It’s to prevent diseases from being spread.
I’m not sure how much of a risk it is. I’d prefer they just let the animals live.
If you have to put down an animal, you just shoot it in the head or heart quickly and mercifully.
This guy (allegedly, but appears to be recorded) tortured the animal first before killing it.
This is a sick psyco killer with authority. He should not be on leave, he should be forever separated from the population before he starts wearing human skins.
We all wear human skins
I never defended what this guy did. As I said I didn’t see a need to kill the deer.
It’s strange to need to spell this out.
The issue isn’t whether or not the deer needed to be killed. That’s a different argument that was rendered irrelevant, by the way this psycho killed it.
I.E. this sick fuck, who also had a badge and can conceivably commit similar acts of depravity to humans, tortured and killed an animal in a brutal way.
Whether the deer “needed” to be culled is irrelevant after such a heinous act.
It’d be like nitpicking that subway security was too lax to catch a guy from jumping over the bars, after that person went on a shooting spree immediately afterwards. The turnstile jumping is completely irrelevant at that point.
Animal control should be handling animals anyway.
Sweet jeebers. Nothing of beauty can survive for long when a cop is around.
Humans are crappy. Cops are subhuman.

Huh… I didn’t know deer were black.
Cops murder.
It’s the only thing they can be counted on for; the rest is theatrics.
They’re deciding how much of a bonus to give him.
RIP Annie :(
Sadly, reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIY0c_OmcOY
Can’t we have nice things and be nice to our only companions on this ship?
No donut for this jerk!
Mind blowing this gets more traction than shooting an unarmed person during a traffic stop, or jumping the subway turnstile, or allegedly writing a back check, or playing with toys in Walmart. A sicko tortures and kills a deer. Wonder how many people he’s done the same to, or if he was just building the courage.
Dude… can someone tell me what the fuck this shit is supposed to say?
Yes. Gladly. This disgusting cop tortured and killed a deer, which has some real serial killer vibes. I pointed out that it blows my mind that this story, which is obviously sick, gets headlines and traction faster than stories of cops killing innocent people. Because we’re so numb to them killing people.
Apparently this has upset people somehow? Pointing out how this sicko is on leave for torturing and killing an animal while cops go back to their jobs regularly after savagely killing people. Not really sure how else to point out how repulsive the situation has become, but clearly people must have thought I was attempting to dismiss the severity of repugnant behavior? Who knows. People are weird.
Okay thanks I understand now, I really was struggling to understand your point. My brain could not make the connection that your list was things cops have killed for and not a list of petty crimes you find more important than this lmao.
Honestly it’s likely just human nature. No one likes to hear “this is bad, but can you think about this worse thing that happens more?” Especially when we hear about that worse thing about every day, the story on the killing of a falsely convicted man after release just happened. Regardless of whether that was intentional, it’s the primary takeaway as you can recognize.
Like, you’re 100% right, but nobody here gained anything from it. The few people who haven’t noticed the same phenomenon after years of brutal police headlines are unlikely to walk away from that feeling like it was a useful comment. It sounded judgmental and preachy, reminded people of terrible things they already knew about, and altogether probably just made people feel worse. There are more productive times and ways to express this sentiment.
Btw I’m not judging you or saying that was your intent, we’ve all been here. I interpreted “people are weird” as some desire for explanation and I believe this to be the most likely scenario. I’m not trying to be negative about it or anything.
Nobody was supposed to gain anything from my comment, it was a conversational piece. A comment about the story, and the police problem as a whole. Which is, after all, what this entire sub is about.
I didn’t hear about anybody being killed just after release, which sort of proves the point I was making in the first place. And to be frank with you, people should feel worse about the situation we find ourselves in with police all around the US and the world generally. Maybe if people felt worse we’d get back to demanding change.
