I have this switch at home, but I’m afraid I’ll break something if I try it.
Does the Katana take a 1/4" TRS connector? If so it’ll be fine. I bought a Skinny Little Thing dual latching foot switch for my Peavey Classic and it works a charm

If its a latching switch (not momentary) and uses a single TRS (3-conductor) cable, it should work. I bought a generic one that looks very similar.
