Description: Mondragon is one of the leading international examples of cooperative ownership of enterprise and inter-firm collaboration. Mondragon has not only made these characteristics its foundational values, but it also uses them strategically, to complete around the world in advanced manufacturing, retail, finance and knowledge. This presentation introduces Mondragon, its special features and its particular international challenges.
I initially understood it as the company owning the employee and thought to myself “that sounds like slavery with extra steps”, but I see now that they mean the the employees have stock in the company.
Not “have stock in,” they are the only shareholders. This employees determine the destiny of the company and who their bosses are.
Don’t mind me, just casually dropping pro-slavery content in work reform
That’s just how jaded I am. I thought you may be spreading awareness of such tomfoolery.
@spaduf mondragon is by far the biggest coop worldwide, and the company is not a classical coop, but rather resembles other big capitalist ventures
