She’s much more hardcore; she’s not exactly the Supergirl we’re used to seeing.”
I thought they were veering away from the whole “dark and gritty” approach to DC. Really hope this isn’t a bad sign.

It’s just to call out that Supergirl is going to have lots of room to grow.
Basically the Superman film is going to have an established Superman, no origin story (although I’m sure sprinkled in). Supergirl is going to be more of an origin story (as I read it).
It will be the job of Superman to teach Supergirl who is coming from a very different background.
Remember the scene from Suicide Squad where the Ratcatcher father is telling Ratcatcher daughter about rats? Swap in Superman and Supergirl and change rats to humanity, boom. That’s the kind of wisdom Superman is going to be dishing out.
I dunno, I think it could be really good for each subseries to have its own tone. Batman can be dark, Shazam can be comedic, etc, as long as they don’t go so far that the crossovers have complete tonal whiplash.

I was expecting Meg Donnelly, which would have been cool since she already voices Supergirl in the Tomorrowverse, but this is okay too.
Can we just stop with the Superhero shit for a while?
Go back to zombies or vampires or something at the least if you’re too lazy to come up with a new idea.
This is becoming such a tired argument. There are plenty of non-superhero films being made, so just watch and enjoy those and let the people who enjoy superhero movies watch and enjoy them.
But i enjoy complaining.
They already made Spawn and Blade in the 90s, and Morbius recently so superhero zombies and vampires are already covered!
