Yaakov Shapiro authored a book titled The Empty Wagon: Zionism’s journey from identity crisis to identity theft, which, as you can guess, is about the settlers inventing ‘Israeli culture’ by means of cultural appropriation. The cultures that foreign Jews brought with them have never blended with the others, which is why nobody continues to argue that the ‘State of Israel’ is a ‘melting pot’.

Considering how unhappy apartheid officials were with Washington announcing a 17% tariff on their régime, I find that unlikely.
Trump has told Reuters in a phone interview that it was unclear if Iran still has a nuclear program following Israeli strikes on the country.
Trump said [that] the U.S. still has nuclear talks planned with Iran on Sunday, but that he is not sure if they will still take place. He said [that] it was not too late for Iran to make a deal.
“I tried to save Iran humiliation and death,” Trump said.
He said [that] he is not concerned about a regional war breaking out as a result of Israel’s strikes.

28·4 days agoTo Kill a Nation (which I highly recommend reading, by the way) does seem to be the culprit here. Michael Parenti questioned the circumstantial evidence that the capitalist media put forth for its conspiracy theory that the Federal Rep. of Yugoslavia sought to create an ethnostate, notably the infamous Srebrenica massacre of 1995. Although it was criminal, I doubt that it was genocidal, which seems like a petty distinction until you remember that ‘genocide prevention’ was a necessary criterion for NATO intervention.
I had no idea that stress eating was such a serious problem in the Pentagon.

I still remember how yesteryear I was replaying Conflict: The Middle East Political Simulator while listening to Al Jazeera, and afterwards I assembled this image as a snarky comment on the Islamic Rep. of Iran launching drones at the occupation. At the time, I did not seriously believe that the Islamic Rep. of Iran was going to invade the occupation, only devastate the IOF. Now? An invasion doesn’t sound that unlikely. Maybe Tehran will limit itself to mere bombardments, but at this point, who knows.
All that I can say with certainty is that I’m mad at how this entire situation has been a waste of everything. A huge waste of Palestinian lives, a waste of the effort and other resources that went into their neighborhoods, a waste of their precious history, a waste of their time, a waste of our planet, and it is all because of this settler-colonial project that never needed to happen.
