Tl;dr: Israel’s national broadcaster is still (kinda) independent, so the European Broadcasting Union are keen to protect that. Russia’s national broadcaster has been entirely subsumed by Putin’s government, so no longer fulfills the requirements of EBU membership.

Brilliantly for us in actual Europe, they compete under the rule that should they win, the competition will still be hosted here in Europe. They have to pay for it, but we don’t have to get up early to watch it.

Blind doesn’t always mean no vision at all. Wearing a device that’s always looking where your head is pointing means having a device that can describe your surroundings to you. And as they pointed out, it can magnify what you’re looking at so you can read it.

Not massively useful for the current vision Pro, I’m sure, but future devices, smaller devices could be very cool.

I’ve been gifted a few old Samsung S3s for using in our workshop at work. They’re all the same model, but it turns out that one of them runs a different processor. So I’ve been able to put LineageOS on two of them, but the third refuses to unlock.

Meanwhile, I moved into the world of Android a few months ago after having iPhones since 2009. Within half an hour of taking delivery of my Pixel 9 it was running GrapheneOS.

Fuck Samsung.

This isn’t always true though, so obese people end up not receiving the care they should, because their dr couldn’t or wouldn’t see past their weight.
