I have no sympathy for GAFAM, but Mozilla sucks even more and you can’t convince me otherwise.

+1
Why should I care what “content creators” or “influencers” want/suggest me to do?
Engywook@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.world•Are We All Becoming More Hostile Online?English29·9 days agoI’m not going to discuss that again, I’ve already wasted too much time explaining why I despise them, nor I’m going to apologize for celebrating their demise, when it comes. If you disagree, just start donating to them.
Engywook@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.world•Are We All Becoming More Hostile Online?English113·9 days agoWhat does “telling language” means, in this context? I’ve never heard that. Not a native speaker.
If you are implying that I’m defending “unpopular” stuff such as racism, sexism, or any kind of right-wing “free speech”, you’re plainly wrong. I’m talking about much less sensitive topics (technology, for instance). As an example, I’ve been attacked for saying that I profoundly dislike Mozilla and that I don’t care if the disappeared (they should, actually).
Give your imagination a rest.
Should we just accept that?
Accept it or not, you choice. Nobody cares.
Is frankly annoying to see how much shit FOSS (or OSS) developer have to eat for every little misstep or for not employing their unpaid time to solve other people’s issues (some of which are really laughable, btw).
Engywook@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.world•Are We All Becoming More Hostile Online?English417·9 days agoNot my experience. Just try to post some slightly unpopular opinion and good luck with the virtue signaling, whatever the topic is, and which is mostly done for fake internet points, I bet.

Hey, man… I used to run your LineageOS on Surya until recently. Glad to see you here 😀

Plus, maybe you aren’t aware that FF is managed by Mozilla Corp (not the foundation), which can’t legally take donations. Thus. The money you donate doesn’t find FF development. Last, I’m not an user and I’m not going to donate. I couldn’t care less. Mozilla did this to themselves. They can disappear tomorrow, as far as I am concerned.

With 16 GB ram I can perfectly virtualize W11 giving 8 GB ram to the guest (on a Linux host), so yes, for normal use 16 GB is perfectly fine.

DDG was so good… Until they switched to Apple Maps. I do’t even use maps at all, but this bothered me a lot, as those money could have been spent in funding OSM.
Thus, I switched to SearXNG.
Well, I love coffee but at the moment I’d better avoid caffeine, thus I’m drinking a lot of decaffeinated. What I mean, coffee isn’t just about caffeine.
