2·2 months agoI definitely agree but I think that case would still get caught in the steam AI usage badge?

1·2 months agoWhat angle are you approaching it from?
I think LLM detection is gonna be tough, I think a verification route and cutting bots off from the source is going to be ideal but not sure how to tackle that while respecting privacy.
I did have an idea of a app using nearby devices and after flagging 7 unique devices it’s tagged as verified, interesting but not sure it’ll work in rural areas.

13·2 months agoI posted this in another comment but I think the nuance is really in what did they use the AI for. Are they using Claude code for the programming but did the entire artwork by hand? How many really care about that?
Compared to someone who tried to one shot a slop game with full AI assets and is just trying to make a quick buck.

61·2 months agoI think the grey area is what if you’re an indie dev and did the entire story line and artwork yourself, but have the ai handle more complex coding.
It is to our eyes entirely original but used AI. Where do you draw the line?

2·2 months agoLemmy has been very anti passkey at least since it’s rise in 2023, it’s very interesting how tech forward Lemmy generally is and how anti passkey and not even anti, just generally uninformed on them they are.
I for one love them. I always read everyones opinions here and just think nobody has even attempted to use them. It’s very simple.
Haven’t been around in awhile, is mbin officially dead or is it still being actively developed just without much use?

It’s important to note this was true before Milei’s election and Milei has surprisingly improved the economy a lot from where it was.
He dialed back a lot of his insane libertarian talk and started listening to his advisors quite a bit more post election.
Unfortunately the people of Argentina are still going to be struggling as the previous administrations have dug them into a very deep pit and the only way out is hardship by the poor while the rich who ran the country into the ground are fine.

4·4 months agoWho would’ve thought ripping out everything that made the game unique and interesting in favor of an easier more casual game would be a bad long term decision for a competitive game 🤣

Do you own a bank account? A credit card? A car?
Your requests aren’t interoperable with the daily life in 2025. Your incredibly niche requirements instead ensures that the general public cannot have access to a usable reasonably private OS outside the hands of corporations.
If you want these requirements you can rip the code out yourself and load it as a custom ROM, stop being anti progress for things as frivolous and solvable as this.
Tap to pay was relatively common even 10 years ago in US cities. I’ve been tap to pay almost exclusively for 5 years.
Mind you the US is BEHIND on tap to pay technology compared to other countries.
Tap to pay with the phone is also much smoother because it emits the NFC signal vs the card which is just inlayed in the card via the chip.
Much smoother process.
The requirements for Linux to have your “needs” would make me not want it,
This is a ridiculous thing to say about something as frivolous and nonmandatory as NFC tap to pay & being able to use a Maps app in your cars dash.
Absolutely must haves for me personally, I use each probably daily. I don’t carry any cards with me and exclusively use tap to pay.

Not really on topic, but I recently swapped from Spotify to Qobuz and it’s been a pretty good experience if you’re interested in paying someone who’s not Spotify
