ente has no reason to ‘lie’. they aren’t reddit or google with ads and tracking bullshit everywhere while shoveling hosted ai crap at every tap. it has e2e with user-controlled keys, optional on device ‘ai’ features, and is self-hostable.

i dunno. people could have accepted the ‘contest’ and submitted nothing but gross-out and r34 entries.

i think iot would be the ‘safer’ option for a ‘stripped-down’ install. void of nearly all the crud, it still gets updates (important for windows) and can still game and run anything.

those “morons” represent the vast majority of internet users.

bad actors use shorteners to mask the actual url of their pages so their potential victims don’t know where they’re going until it is, perhaps, ‘too late’

i don’t even have to work that hard to avoid it. there’s no soccer here. there aren’t many that follow it. the local school doesn’t field a team, there isn’t a youth soccer program either. it’s either hockey season or conditioning-and-training for next hockey season.

Opening the shortened URL in your browser will instantly redirect you to the correct long URL. (So no stupid redirection pages.)
an interstitial or redirect page would be a security feature, especially for a shortener open to the public.
it escaped because it wasn’t encased in jell-o

there’s a backdoor built right into bitlocker in the form of ‘recovery keys’–and for most users, microsoft knows what they are.

only ‘tens of millions’?

i am, too. doesn’t mean you have to use chrome for everything else. i keep it to just that, testing when i need to, and then also only from inside a virtualized environment.

most of those fake local ‘news’ farms are spouting far-right or extremist views.

presumably due to cost of memory being very high right now making it difficult to create a card oriented at consumers.
wrong thinking, imo. price below nvidia and amd, give reasonable performance per watt, continue to support open source linux drivers. they would sell at least as well as alchemist and battlemage have.
i just used a third-party mirror. found one that was better and faster than ubuntu’s own ever has been for me:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archivemirrors
in case launchpad isn’t accessible:
https://web.archive.org/web/20260425125013/https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archivemirrors
for ‘ports’, see here as well, which directs you to this mirror:

the closed-source version of the internet.
my media ‘backlog’ is even bigger than my steam/epic games one.
i have something playing all the time, mostly just random directories of a media drive added to vlc, sometimes a series off a free service on autoplay.
i had just read a report that he was gonna get fired.

i do this, too, sometimes… but i don’t make rounded cuts–that’s just all kinds of messed up.
did they just ‘restructure’ themselves into irrelevance and unsustainable subscriber loss?
