Hmm. Given the lack of birth cert (unless the government accepts crystals) I’m pretty sure he’s literally an illegal alien.

From what I read, the policy of removing domains when the county stops existing was directly based on what happened with .su so that never happens again.
The Sphinx : Your temper is very quick, my friend. But until you learn to master your rage…
Mr. Furious : …your rage will become your master? That’s what you were going to say. Right? Right?
The Sphinx : Not necessarily.
Yeah, I didn’t get a good wording there. I just mean is it still up in the air?
I wonder if there’s a word for when a whole phrase has two opposite meanings without one of the words in it being a contronym (or using sarcasm, etc)
The example that made me think of this is a song lyric:
And she’s dancing like she’s never danced before!
There’s the intended meaning of better than ever… But if I were to dance it would also be like I’ve never danced before.
That reminds me… Is the entire .io domain still planning to end or did that get resolved?
Just in case…
When they said “7 ounces / just under a cup.” that’s not a particular physical cup. A “cup” is an exact measure in the US, it’s 8 fluid ounces, which is 236.5882365 milliliters precisely.
Even if the US does go metric, it will take a lot longer than 50 years for people to not know how big a cup is, all measuring tools in every kitchen are marked for them and the other common units like tablespoons and teaspoons*, and virtually every recipe uses them.
*I wish I was joking.
Those are my actual test results - I perceived that as the middle, then afterwards found out how close it was to the numeric middle.
They tried to use a spoiler tag and it didn’t work.
(at least not for them, but maybe for anyone. My client didn’t parse it either, but it usually doesn’t)
Nearly exactly centered according to both me and HTML it seems (based on the about box info)
Hmm. The second color I got was pretty much exactly cyan, and no option to choose that. I don’t like this color erasure!
Those don’t eliminate the spoiler effect, but it does end up looking different. (Maybe has a different name in this form?)
My blue state has a blanket primary, and this last election I saw that demonstrated:
One race had two Republicans and like half a dozen Democrats and another half a dozen in other parties. The Republican vote of course was split between the two candidates. The Democrat vote was split like a hydra and we very nearly had (few hundred votes away) the two Republicans go to the general!
Fortunately, the top Dem barely squeaked into second place, and then easily won the general, but it was mighty close.
Then do STAR, or approval. Those are simple. And I think even more likely to allow 3rd parties.
Pretty much anything is better than FPTP.
How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like him!
That’s odd. At my local pool they very definitely are in the water with us more often than not during lessons. How else can they demonstrate techniques, and watch us closely to see what we are doing wrong?
There is one exception I’ve noted - the coaches of swim teams seem to mostly stand at the front or back of the section their team is using. I’m not sure what that’s about, since I’ve never been on a team like that. But I can guess it has to do with seeing everyone at once.

That’s just not true.
Those are Link.
