The director’s cut of Alien is terrible. All they do is put in more shots of the xenomorph and that ruins the movie in two ways:

1. The reason Alien works so well is you barely see the alien at all. The build up to the end is incredibly good, and

2. The shots that were inserted make it clear it’s just a dude in a rubber suit. The alien changes from something to be feared to something to be laughed at.

You also can’t play chess with a white square on the bottom left of the board.

This does my head in. It was one of the most popular shows on Netflix at release, yet they cancelled it. What are Netflix hoping for? They’ve ended up with a catalog of shows that started and never finished, so nobody is going to bother watching them now. What a waste.

I found that offside decision questionable even when they tried to justify it with VAR. The way they drew the line was a bit… odd to say the least. All through the World Cup they kept mentioning players could be up to 10cm (~4") beyond the defensive player for it to be called offside, yet when it’s for Argentina apparently being offside by a bee’s dick is all that’s needed.

Thankfully Spain still came out as the better team without any trademark Argentine “luck” altering the outcome.
