You might also want to move your JAR or AppImage to somewhere like /home/zidane/.local/bin for good measure, so it doesn’t get wiped as easily.

Gotta say, even though the one show I saw him at was a bust, I still respect the attempt to branch out musically and think there may still be some banger TMOE releases in the future.

I’m just soapboxing here, but the best live music performance I’ve ever seen was at a TMOE concert. Unfortunately, it was after Kristian started touring with a full band and decided not to play any of his acoustic work. Wasn’t him; his performance was mid as fuck.

His opener Lady Lamb did a full set of raw vocals and guitar and completely stole the show. Never seen an upstaging of that magnitude before or since — she had the entire crowd locked in. Her studio work doesn’t quite live up to that acoustic set, but she’s a very talented artist on the whole and I can earnestly recommend her work to anyone who’s a fan of Kristian’s first two albums.

Been happy on ZFS since before btrfs stabilized and worked out its kinks, so I can’t personally vouch for it — but nothing against it in theory :).

Since no one else has said it yet, ZFS is underrated for gaming. Compression saves considerable disk space if you have a big library, you can stripe HDDs for better performance, and snapshotting makes backups a breeze.

I kicked the wheels on release, and can confirm it’s a case of great idea + terrible execution. The game is a wash of them like nothing I’ve seen before or since.

Unfortunately, they went so all-in on the new era model that this “fix” is only going to dig them a deeper hole. They should have gone with a middle-ground option where you pick a base Civ that you stick with, and then get to pick from 2-3 “cultural route” options to upgrade across each era (much like Civ 5 ideologies) — but that ship has sailed.
