like fast travel is interrupted by an encounter?

what does “getting fucky” mean in that game?
I’ve noticed that in the past five years, things just seem to be less flavourful to me. I wonder if that does have anything to do with COVID
there’s still lots of stuff that tastes fucking delicious. but every now and then I eat something and it’s just flat. doesn’t taste like anything.
also, snack food is shit nowadays, that’s not me, we know corporations cheap out any way they can, and lots of snack food now and inevitably just tastes like shit as a result
like chips, I’ve always fucking loved chips. even cheap stuff. but nowadays even some of the name brands don’t really taste like anything. it has to be because they’re fucking up the recipes, because I can make chips at home that taste better

southern Ontario Canadians don’t sound much different. the more east you go, the more Letterkenny you get. and then you get the Quebecois, which are unique in oh so many ways. and then you start getting to the true east coast stuff as you go farther and farther, and that’s not going to be confused for american

that’s the exception that put “most” in the title
I’m on a $4000 computer from 2024 lol, with an NVME SSD. it ain’t the hardware that’s the issue in my case
but yeah, windows runs like shit now. everything is slow. there’s bloatware. nothing just works anymore (not that it all just worked in the past, but at least some of it did)
even fucking notepad has started crashing on me sometimes
if it doesn’t work, just press harder. directly on the screen. might need something solid to register the press, those buttons can get gunked up over time and especially in the winter are hard to press. In fact, you might need to hit it to kind of break it free. the tire iron in your trunk is perfect for this. just make sure that you hit the screen dead center so you hit the switch accurately
considering how prevalent gas stations are, taking half away still leaves you with quite a few options
not limited to EVs though
but yes, this is one reason I won’t buy a car with tech like that
yeah I don’t buy gas at those places. if I pull up and there’s an annoying ad on screen, I just get back in my car and keep driving (after I give the location a one star review and note the ads)
have you not used windows 11?
file explorer now takes half a second to open a subfolder, more if within a OneDrive directory. I went back to Win10 because of that. it literally broke my workflow and prevented me from being able to do my job effectively
I wasn’t the only one at the company that saw this behavior either

sounds like she’s just lazy. she should try getting a job that pays better.

just went through this myself
needed a gooseneck phone mount for tomorrow morning. nothing local has something suitable, so damnit amazon it is
oh look, it’s dozens of the same product, using the exact same photo often even, from random shit brands
I’ve been doing pretty good at avoiding amazon for the past year or two, but every two or three months there’s something that I just can’t get somewhere else on the timeline I need or at a reasonable price

see the good thing is there will probably be an opening in the market for somebody else to open a sawmill
not gonna get into whether or not it should be torn down, but “because they voted differently than you” is very disingenuous. it’s because they support fascists. those are not the same thing.

it was probably more the lack of a driving license that did it, but ofc the headline leaves that out

I just bought a 2012 as my ‘new’ vehicle because I don’t want to deal with any stupid tech issues like that
hell, I don’t even like standard traction control - if I press the accelerator, I want the wheels to get power. I’ve been stuck slowly crossing in the middle of an intersection too many times because ESC ‘helped out’ and cut power to the wheels. no mf just spin them until they get to the hard surface below the snowslush

auto high beams do not work every time.
I am routinely blinded by them when people drive through my neighborhood at night and I’m walking my dog, or when I’m biking to the store. and this is in a neighborhood with street lights where high beams are completely and utterly not required in the first place at 40 km/h.

doesn’t work well in my experience. now I typically just leave my mirrors all the way out and up when driving at night, so the headlights never hit my eyes from them
I can see everything I need to from the rearview and turning my head. it’s not like you can see anything using the side mirrors at night when somebody with LED headlights is behind you anyways, all you see is a giant flare and you can’t even tell if it’s in your lane or the next lane or how close it is
LED headlights are literally making the roads less safe by decreasing visibility and awareness

see the thing is we don’t need to put up with either of those situations, neither is acceptable
yep that’s how it works for me, too, most of the time
a more limited version of what they described does sometimes help me out, though. for short term stuff to avoid the “I just entered this room and I have no idea why” scenario
