I have a story that falls in the same pattern and involves the clarinet, but is basically the much kinder version. I was in band for years, playing brass, but opted to take a credit in the “beginner” band to try a wholly different instrument, and settled on clarinet because thats what they needed.
I had some real advantages over the beginners, being able to read music well and being used to playing in larger, more complex ensembles. When it came to actually playing though, I was terrible. I was always getting this warped, squeeling tone that was written off as using a wood reed vs a metal mouthpiece like I was used go.
Well, about a week in, the conductor stops and has me play a scale, which came out with a terrible warble. He stopped for a second, eyeballed me, and then had me swap to a number 2 reed instead of the normal 1. This is a thicker reed, a change you would expect beginners to move to after playing a woodwind for a few months.
Instantly, the sound firmed up correctly and I hit the exact tone. It was honestly astonishing. I had gone from a squeel to a pure tone immediately. My younger peers where shocked, having just thought I was somewhat shit at the instrument. Turns out the years of playing brass had given me a strong embouchure, or jaw muscle, so I was basically warping the beginner reed by just using it. I’d love to say I went on to first chair, but I had to drop the class due to conflict and that pretty much ended my time with the clarinet too.
Really interesting to have something like that happen, at least when the lead in is immediate support instead of years of beratement.

As a counterpoint, the above is basically just a reframing of “kill the artist,” I.e ignore all the surroundings of what made a piece of art and just look at the art itself in a vacuum.
The above is neither possible, practical, or reasonable, especially when the artists are calling for or funding genocide and mass death. Giving your voice to such work is itself hoisting up the act of genocide, and that is not defensible.

My container updated to 12 overnight. I have jellyfin ignore installed and its still listed as active. Its version 0.5.0.0
Mine kicked off overnight. I’m running jellyfin as a container in Podman, which is configured to check nightly for updates.
So far no issues. I only noticed it updated because it synced all the media to my clients, instead of just new files. Looks like the media scan took around 4 hours instead of the normal 1, but it finished cleanly. As a note I manually cleaned and updated my jellyfin sqlite database about a month ago, so my install might be in an “easy” state compared to most.
New UI is clean and efficent in the app, seems snappy. Most of the common plugins (I.e introskipper, etc) are fully updated. I have a couple added from various one off repos, and they all seem enabled.
Yeah, if you are also going to do a new roof, metal roofs work really well with common panels and last 50 years or more. You can just clamp the panels to the seams, making the solar install very simple.
Solar shingles are an insane 10x premium for aesthetics, at best. They are just an inferior, way more expensive, locked in product at worst.
The annoying but workable answer is to run two instances, one for each language.
