Mate, this is one of the few opportunities to have a frank discussion on why someone can get blackout drunk everyday of their lives can have guns, but someone who lives in a legal cannabis state is breaking federal gun laws for smoking a bowl after work.

Now, crack use is a little different, but I’d rather these laws be about “used/carried while intoxicated” rather than just possessing them.

But don’t count Hunter short, if he was running today it could be the exact same campaign as Joe and people would use all the same talking points to support Hunter.

Most people agree our choice of candidates has gotten worse over time for a while now, don’t just take for granted that the trend will reverse on its own.

Shit, for the last three elections the Dem candidate has been someone who has lost multiple primaries but was the spouse or VP of a very popular president.

I’m not gonna list a lot of examples, but it feels like nepotism being big in politics was accepted fact decades ago…

Hunter Biden could very well run for president some day

Look, this is America. We all agreed that if you want to break laws, you have to go to Louisiana or Nevada. He should have moved to one of our semi-autonomous lawless zones if he wanted to get fucked up and shoot a gun.

Gun dependency needs to be treated at every clinic. It’s getting in the way of cannabis use and everything else.

You say this like you’re talking about more than exactly two people over more than exactly two elections.

You think prior to 2016 nepotism hasn’t been an issue in US politics?

And someone agree with that and upvoted it?

          Because I said:

I’m not gonna list a lot of examples, but it feels like nepotism being big in politics was accepted fact decades ago…

Now there’s an autocorrect error in there, but I meant the last couple decades.

I mean, for fucks sake you think GW Bush became president on his own merits?

No, nepotism has definitely been a thing. Your original text made it seem like there’s been a long history of the Democrats having spouses (a singular instance for either party) or a VP (less concerning) being the candidate. It also made it seem like you considered it nepotism. VPs aren’t nepotism.

Only if you ignore the period that stopped the first sentence and move it to the command in the middle of the next sentence and then stopped reading…

Could ya, though? I’m wracking my brain but can’t think of a single president who employed his family for stuff. There’s Mr Trump, but he’s the exception in so many ways.

To be fair, lots of them. Kennedy, Eisenhower, Nixon to name a few off the top of my head, but I’m sure there’s more I’m missing.
