Actually idk if you can do anything with the headset without signing in? Yes that’s my concern but I was hoping someone would have hacked it by now just enough to make it functional for SteamVR without Meta services. Or ideally a whole different OS.

Because the oculus PC app forces you to login before you can use it
You don’t need an Oculus PC app to stream from your PC. You just use Steam. Or any number of other options like Moonlight.
