I saw this advert from 1956 on Instagram and can’t work out how a fridge from nearly 70 years ago basically has better features than the fridge I own now.
This always got reposted on reddit, and people would always explain how it was stupid.
A lot of these features don’t make sense, or aren’t worth the increased cost.
Like, cars used to have coffee makers in them too, but that’s stupid so we stopped. Doesn’t mean a 50 year old car with a coffee maker but no seat belts or airbags has “more features”
I think some of them might be stupid but that’s the point, they should be improving on what they did, not downgrading everything. The storage of different types of produce, meat etc, would be awesome. We could definitely temp and humidity control everything to last, but we don’t.
And you’re making my point, why would it have to be the best refrigerator? They could easily make these adjustments in an every day type cheap model. Hell, my microwave air frys, microwaves and bakes and it’s the cheapest you can buy. You’re very strong minded about this, lol.
The only one that isn’t great is the auto ice unloader. The rotating veggie tray in the door looks great, and the slide out shelves would be super convenient.

Your fridge might not, but I highly doubt you have to most expensive fridge they make in 2023…
Just like the vast amount of people 70 years ago didn’t have one of those fridges…
That part should be easy to understand, which is why I didn’t think I’d need to mention it

Then why didn’t you buy a better fridge?
They’re out there, it’s just who wants to pay 10-20 thousand dollars for a fridge?
I’m not “strong minded” about this. I’m just tired of people complaining about stuff they don’t understand.
