To these people “Chinese propaganda” is anything that shows China in a positive light, but is also something so obvious that a toddler could spot it as propaganda. They’re so damn smug, they think all “propaganda” is incredibly easy for their enlightened western minds to see right through, if they don’t see it, it isn’t propaganda, like if it agrees with them.
It’s the joke where a CIA agent tells a KGB agent that his country has very good propaganda, but when the KGB agent compliments American propaganda, the CIA agent responds: “You’re mistaken, we don’t have propaganda in America.”
