I used to use RIF, which had a setting to toggle whether or not NSFW links were saved in your browsing history. I noticed that if I open up a NSFW link in Jerboa, it opens a new Chrome window and then the visited link is shown in my browser history. Is there a way to toggle that off, or request a feature to add that to a future version of Jerboa?

You could install Firefox Focus, and set Jerboa to always open in that. Firefox Focus is an incognito only version of the browser that deletes all data on every exit.

Thanks, I’m trying this out. Looks like Jerboa doesn’t have an individual setting on which browser to use, so I set Firefox Focus as my default browser for my phone. Might turn that off later, cause sometimes having cookies and a browser history is useful.

You can tell Jeroba to open links from other Lemmy instances in the app. You can do this in the android app settings.

I saved this Post (in German), maybe it helps…

As of now I don’t think there is a toggle to turn it off. I am not sure on this, but I think if the app implements Chrome Custom tabs, it will be able to open a chrome tab within the app itself which is separate from a tab opened using the Chrome app. You can raise a feature request on the Jerboa Github. Do check that no one else has raised a similar issue to avoid a duplicate.
