Watched Die Farbe yesterday, a German low-budget black and white film adaptation of HP Lovecraft’s The Color Out Of Space. Enjoyed it a lot! It really nails the sense of dread and cosmic horror. My only gripe was I wish the “color” was presented differently because you could definitely describe it. Though I get that it’s hard to film something that’s supposed to be incomprehensible lol.
Back in 2015 I watched and reviewed the film Deepstar Six. One of my all-time favourite films is The Abyss, and I learned that in 1989/90 there were six films cashing in on the theme of an underwater action film.
So last week, I finally got around to watching and reviewing another of those ‘copycat’ films, Leviathan.
Timetrap and Old. Timetrap was way better than expected. Still a B movie but didn’t disappoint. Old was about as expected.
I just finished a J-Drama called “My dangerous wife”. It was a pretty fun watch. My girlfriend recommended it to me. She knows we are both big fans of psychological thrillers.
