Hey everyone, just wanted to share a small improving player’s victory (well, stalemate). I was horribly behind, allowed a knight to fork my rooks (something I’m terribly prone to ugh) and generally losing ground the whole game. Rather than resign after a devastating piece loss, I decided my new goal was just “stay alive as long as possible”. Lo and behold, I managed to squeak a stalemate out of the situation.

This is just to say there’s a lot to learn from playing from a losing position! I have resigned in fury after hanging many a piece, but couldn’t help but feel as proud of this accomplishment as any of my victories. Just a small piece of encouragement from someone who has no business giving out chess advice lol. Keep it up everyone, lose (or stalemate) with pride!
