Mark Zuckerberg owns over 1,200 acres of land. Here's a look at the Facebook founder's US properties, from a Hawaii bunker to Lake Tahoe houses.

Over the years, he’s bought and sold homes all over the country. He’s also reportedly built some — a Hawaiian doomsday ranch that has had many scratching their heads, for example.

Zuckerberg’s real estate portfolio has an assessed value of around $200 million, according to Business Insider calculations based on property assessments.

However, the assessed value of properties can be lower than reported purchase prices (or current market value), so Zuckerberg’s holdings are likely worth significantly more.

    I guess it depends on where that acreage is, and who the target audience is for that article, because in my head I’m thinking 1200 acres is only like… 2 or 3 farm fields.

      Well, he bought all 4 houses around his first palo alto house, which was about 43 million apparently.

      The 1200 acres he owns are in Hawaii. They are all connected, and include 350 acres of beach. Ain’t a feature most farms have, to be sure.
