Yandex is a Russian company.

This is true. However, Yandex is still essential to understanding the Russian perspective, as it’s used by a solid 60-70 percent of the Russian population.
Is there a way to change that menu option in firefox where you highlight something and right click to ‘Search Google for XXX’ to search Yandex?
In settings under the Search tab there’s a hyperlink under Search Shortcuts for “Find more search engines” once you add Yandex it’ll pop up in the list.
