Nah, it doesnt actually do anything. This is a case of the ATF not knowing the laws that are already on the books.
It is an election year talking point and matters about as much as a fly fart in a monsoon.
Were you under the impression that the NRA was still a political force?
As an organization, no. But i doubt their loudest members stopped just because their leadership fucked up.
