Drugs don’t kill people—it’s the stigma that kills. You can get kicked out of college, lose your job, lose your housing just because you happen to be on drugs—you don’t have to do anything wrong. And then you become an unperson—you can do absolutely nothing wrong and still people spit in your face and call you a piece of shit, and somehow that’s OK.
I’m sorry, but I know tons of people who have died after years of alcohol abuse. The human body is not capable of sustaining years of drug abuse and drugs are 100% capable of blowing your liver out. The stigma doesn’t help anyone but that doesn’t make humans able to sustain years of drug abuse.
