What do you think is currently missing (and not already being worked on) in Monero? Either a feature the official (or most) wallets should add, a website for particular information or services, a standalone application, local communities, or whatever you can think of.

I’ve recently seen some cool ideas, which were picked up pretty fast by the community, so I’m interested for your opinions.

My hope is that we will have PayPal (and other big payment processors) accepting BCH (or whatever) and then you can use monero to pay behind the scene via atomic swaps.

I don’t see any way for direct monero payments to be accepted any time soon. On the contrary it’s getting delisted in exchanges to prepare for cbdcs.

Control is the keyword here. They want/need to keep the control. Control of the policy, be it monetary, fiscal, etc. Control is a hard drug. Fiat money (and the infinite money printers that cone with it) is an even harder drug.

CBDCs are not cryptocurrencies. They have none of the features that cryptocurrencies offer, and they therefore don’t solve any problems. As such, they are doomed to fail and will never be adopted. They’re no different than fiat.
