That they’re an abhorrent theocracy doesn’t change the fact that they’re the ones running the country. For that matter, Russia seized Crimea nine fucking years ago. In Crimea, the official language is Russian, the official currency is the ruble, state services such as mail and utilities are Russian, there are border checks to get in from places that aren’t Russia, and so on. Literally upset that reality doesn’t match their desire, so they’re just pretending that it does.
