One of the best moments in Helldivers 2 is dying from ragdolling into a wall from friendly fire, especially from an air burst rocket or back blast.

    I hope they take the “a bit” to heart, I’m worried they’re going to completely nerf ragdolling.

    Hope they don’t dumb it down like they did with high difficulty missions. They can tone down ragdolls a little specifically for bot missions so you don’t get stuck in a ragdoll loop, but it should remain a punishment for people just blindly running into shit all the time. The amount of impatient people I’ve seen dying to absolutely oblivious spatial awareness is fucking ridiculous, it’s still supposed to be a slightly tactical game.

    I dont mind the ragdolling so much as my idiot not fucking healing before standing up after being ragdolled while under fire.

    Stim. Then stand. Or even do them simultaneously.

    I think 2 things would improve things:

    • allow a small amount of control over the direction of the ragdoll, similar to games like goatsimulator and such to help prevent getting ragdolled into death pits and losing all your sample and equipment.

    • grant a small window of ragdoll immunity (not damage immunity to be clear) after being ragdolled and after landing from a reenforce to stop endless ragdoll loops

    I picked the striders, hulks, and fortresses one, because commamd bunkers and the new hulks are basically just death sentences if you mess up at all, even in heavy armor or wearing a shield. It’s not even you’re fault sometimes, they just like to aggro from across the map.

    The rocket striders themselves, are purely just annoying as shit cause they somehow always spawn behind you on the high difficulties. They dont usually kill you right off the bat, but the ragdoll into something else does. Just feels bad when it happens.

      The best part of heavy explosive resist armor is rag dolling for 30 seconds and getting up with 3/4 hp left.

      This is my thing. The distances at which bots stay engaged is wild sometimes. I had a hulk despawn no less than 20m away, but that Devastator is just hammering me from 1/4 mile away still lol
