Schools and everywhere else need to stop accepting non-medical exemptions. The “religious” or “philosophical” reasons for not vaccinating should not permit the child to be admitted to school, daycare, playgroups, or anything else. Inconvenience the parents enough to make the right choice.

In Marin County, a wealthy liberal enclave in California, a lot of anti-vaxxers used to be wealthy white suburbans. When COVID hit, those groups found themselves aligned with the right-wing MAGA crowds.

Proving once again, that if you go far enough left, you may come full circle to the far right.

Circle of life. Let em suffer. Stop getting in the way of nature. It’s what they want.

Fuck off. This comment is eugenics.

These children do not deserve to suffer because society has decided that they are property of their parents. Every child should be required to be vaccinated until they can consent to refusal. It is evil that we allow parents this unfettered power over the lives of their children.

I digress, wasn’t thinking of the kids first, only the adult being the unvaccinated.

Your comment is trusting parents, who know shit besides how to fuck and get pregnant. Collectively, we know that vaccines work and are safe and effective. They work best when everyone is vaccinated. This is undisputable fact.

To allow your kid to get deadly diseases like measles or whooping cough because you are a fucking idiot should be a criminal act and is a societal failure. Those kids deserve the best, least risky medicine the world has to offer. They are their own people, not property of their dipshit parents.

The problem isn’t these children, it’s the children that can’t be vaccinated for legitimate medical reasons. They rely on herd immunity to prevent these diseases from spreading effectively in the population in general. Herd immunity levels vary by the disease, but generally it needs to be around 90%+ so those that can’t receive the immunizations can still be effectively protected.

The current anti-vax bullshit brings those rates down into the 80% range or even lower in many areas already. It only gets worse as it spreads more.

        Anocdata.

My friend has stage 3 cancer.

Her chemo killed her white blood cells.

If she gets sick, she dies.

She can’t get a flu shot. She depends on people around her getting flu shots.

Please get the flu shot 🦆

If being around me not obeying your rules that extend to my body kills you, then die.
