First rule of capeshit is that heroes (and villains) never die, and even if they do, someone will take their capes*, so there’s infinite material for sequels.
*This of course sounds worse once you get older than 13 and understand it’s because character development is expensive and not always successful, though 90% of DC universe and 80% of Marvel seems to make the latter point entirely moot.
