There are illegal immigrants who try anything to take advantage of the system. It’s not racist or homophobic. There are plenty of good people from these countries as well who want to play by the rules, who get discredited by clowns like this.
Given that there are asylum seekers who pretend to convert to another religion to try and get asylum, is it really that much a stretch to suggest that some others will try to game the system in another way?

Using this case as evidence that this case is something that happens frequently, inspite of the judge not using evidence, but his gut. Evidence he was faking would be a video of him kissing a woman at a football game. Not, he hasn’t documented his gayness enough, but also he has to show shame over it at the same time. Too much shame? Somehow evidence he’s not gay, like in this case. To little shame? According to this article it is used to prove they aren’t because real gay people need shame. The evidence is never “hey look, he’s having sex with women, and refusing all these perfectly good men”.

Do you remember that guy who committed an acid attack in London and then killed himself? He faked a conversion to Christianity so he could get asylum.
