It wasn’t just that I saw a flood of 
rage videos. I only saw pronoun rage videos, with the only exception being a build guide (which is fine but I was hoping for a rapport guide, like every other companion previously got).

yeah youtube has like no info about Tanlorin aside from that one build video you mentioned, just ‘antiwoke’ culture war stuff looking for clicks, the initial announcement of the companions also had some complainers on their forums, I’m way more hyped about Tanlorin as a new companion for questing, skipped out on a few companions before, the purple gear is expensive, they take a while to level, and I got used to hanging out with Mirri for questing and Isobel as a tank for dungeons and world bosses
Bastian Hallix is so annoying and sanctimonious to me that it’d be nice to have a Dragonknight that isn’t him. He reminds me a bit too much of a former associate that used to go out of his way to find grievances with other people and made his whole personality cross-carrying. “Good” companions are otherwise cool and good with me, mind, because I really like Isobel and all her antics and commentary.
The “not evil” Necromancer Khajiit also intrigues me.
