I’m more worried about what the dems would do if Trump happens to win. I think the violence is worse in that scenario.

The truth is that Kamala will concede if she loses. Thus no violence. Trump however will never concede.

There is no requirement to concede; it’s nothing more than a tradition. Trump conceding or not conceding won’t change who wins the election.

But conceding shows that the loss is accepted. Never said it would change the outcome of the election. It will have an impact on the possibility of violence.

It’s just a tradition. People put to much weight in it.

Trump last time and conceded a few days later. He just didn’t use those exact words.

Sounds like you are into traditions. That’s very conservative of you

I have seen plenty of people on Lemmy that said they would revolt if Trump wins. I don’t for a minute think it would be peaceful, regardless of if she concedes or not.

But I think she’ll win, so we don’t really have to worry about it.

Fair enough, people who act tough online is bipartisan. There are always people who say things.

If my side doesn’t win I’m moving out of the US…

Usually all talk and no action.

I also hope that everything is peaceful.

I wish those people would move. I also wish each party had a better candidate. I am tired of each side voting against another rather than for a person.

I remember when Trump won his last election and all the people who said they were moving out of US.

Annnndddd no one did. And the world didn’t end.

But yes, I hope everything is peaceful today!

That’s dumb. Democrats should revolt against Trump but only one side of this card has enough crazies to actually do something about it is they lose. Dems are too busy hand wringing to out perform the wingnuts violence.

        Democrats should revolt against Trump

So are you saying there “should” be violence if Trump wins? You advocate that?

I agree they are too busy hand wringing to take some things seriously, but bruh, let’s not advocate violence on either side of the aisle.

What are you taking about? Dems would file lawsuits and use legal means to contest anything they think was illegal.

They started a war because their side didn’t win an election. That’s as violent as you can get.
