    I don’t understand what’s changed here. I saw Israel routinely arrest children when I worked in the West Bank.

    They would hold them in Ofer prison until the parents paid a ransom to get their kids back. The kids were younger than 14.

    The reason was some Israeli (usually a racist settler) called the police and said the kid did something. Usually they claimed throwing rocks. One time a kid was just on the roof of his building playing with birds. Israelis get nervous when they see Palestinians above them.

    Isn’t this covered in Administrative Detention laws already?

      I think this law is about “convicted” kids, as opposed to “just” administrative detention.
