That’s pretty much the intent! AC Mirage is supposed to be a return to form of the series. More of a stealth and narrative focus with tighter level design.
IDK, I was pretty bummed seeing some of the “quick assassination” between multiple bad guys, and the eagle spotting mechanics. Those looked straight out of AC: Odyssey and I’m worried this game will play more like Far Cry / AC: Odyssey then older Assassin Creed games.
The gameplay video just looked like AC2 but prettier lol

I agree with this, but that’s not exclusive to adding new mechanics. Though maybe they keep new stuff hidden for now
