I used FL Studio and because it does run super well on Linux, I used only some samples and the stock plugins.
It all started from arpeggiated sample I liked a lot that I slowed down to put it at my correct BPM (130), then I created the bass line using the slicer tool (ALT+U in the piano roll) with the 3 notes preset.
I added some Flanger & Gain & Delay to the bass to give some more resonance.
Then I made an hip-hop drum line using a kit I downloaded on reddit. Nothing too special here, I should try to experiment more with the drums.
Finally, I just wrote the melody and added a filter with some LFO.
After I got this big loop I did some arrangement and that was pretty much it :)). 1h40-2h to make.
