Definitely feels like the Premier League has a bit too much prestige — and this is coming from someone who thinks it’s the best league in the world. There’s a lot of good teams outside the PL yet players seem to not care about a lot of them — like, how does Bournemouth have more pull than a bunch of better clubs XD
@Astrealix @HaleEndGrad not prestige, just more ££; I mean when a 100k/week salary is one of the highest salaries in ligue 1, serie a, La liga outside of the top 2-3 teams in those leagues, those other teams in those leagues can’t compete with PL team salaries. That’s why players are going to Saudi League; surely isn’t prestige.
That too, yeah. It’s a vicious cycle.
