    Lovely map. With some caveats tho. One being the exaggerated representation of Kurds, especially in central Turkey.

    It also glosses over the immense differences between Arabs, who besides language don’t have that much in common. (And even the differences in language can be discussed)

    Differences between Levantine Arabs and Omani Arabs are perhaps comparable to Persians and Tajiks, who are separate categories.

      Arabic is more like a language family. Consider that it started diverging only a few centuries after Latin did.
