    I like video games myself but honestly think I probably won’t let my kids play them (and won’t myself then either of course) or at least until they would be like 10. I don’t see any good coming out of that. Same thing with television to be honest

      I think if I have kids I’m gonna break out the old consoles in order, so that they have an appreciation for the history and because it’ll probably be a self-limiting hobby due to looking like shit compared to anything on a phone

        I think that the console issue might be that if you aren’t used to the newer stuff then it still seems great. Even with the 2600, you can play for a very long time and enjoy it. Definitely not as addictive for people as the modern gambling games played by a lot of kids

          Up until the early-mid 90s there were the lingering effects of arcade-oriented design where shit was super hard to get your quarters, but yeah even that’s not so bad compared to the newer shit that takes your quarters digitally.
