      At this time, we’re up to over 36% renewable… So we are getting better. In 2017, it was only 17%. If we got rid of the libs earlier (who made the carbon tax debate toxic), we’d be so much better. Even with coal generation though, Heat pumps are still more efficient, as they’re measured well over 100% efficient (200%+), whereas gas is less than 100%

      It’s still usually more efficient and better for emissions when the coal is burned at a power plant with high efficiency and filtering systems.

        Yeah, you’re probably right. Just grumpy that we still burn fucking coal for our power here, and we have so much wide open space we could be using for solar generation.
